Domaine Edegger Winery started its activities in April 2000. We currently farm 10 hectares in the Badacsony wine region.
In our vineyards, we grow white wine grapes such as Welsh Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, and blue grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Merlot. Our aim is to exploit the potential of the Badacsony wine region and to combine the right technology and expertise to create wines that will stand their ground on both the domestic and international markets. In order to produce raw materials of exceptional quality, the yields of all our vineyards are strictly limited to a maximum average of 6 tonnes per hectare. We have equipped our winery with the most modern technology to be able to produce wines with varietal and site character, with a pure taste and fruitiness. We make two different styles of wine: one style is a reductive type of dry wine, the other style is aged in small oak barrels (225 litres). The result is a well-rounded, balanced wine with a beautiful varietal character, rich in fruity aromas and with the potential to last for several years after bottling.
We offer our guests accommodation in two large apartments. The apartments are located 600 metres from Lake Balaton and are therefore an excellent starting point for a pleasant holiday rich in culture, wine and water activities.
Our tasting room can accommodate 40 people and offers a permanent wine tasting. For groups of more than 5 people, an appointment is necessary. On request, we are happy to organise wine dinners for special requests, where we offer wine and food specialities to our guests.
