Our pinot noir vineyards are located in the forested glades of the Küszöb hill, a protected mountain at an altitude of 240-260 metres above sea level. These beautiful areas, with a panoramic view of Lake Balaton and the surrounding hills, were once the home of Tibor Gál, who chose this protected little corner of the region, specifically because he was looking for a place that suited his pinot noir preferences. The transplanted vineyard was then tended by the late Huba Szeremley, a legend in Badacsony. Later the vineyards were purchased by Péter Jakab the owner of Jakab Badacsony.

The syrah is located on the Badacsony hill, preserved in its original state, with viognier planted between the vines. The two grape varieties are harvested together, as is the custom in the Rhône: they are formidable clones that produce a concentrated and full-bodied base every year. As for the white varieties, we also deal with two local Badacsony curiosities: kéknyelű and vulcanus, a cross between grey friend and Buda green. Both vines are located on the side of the Badacsony hill.
