This is the only place where you can see Lake Balaton, Lake Hévíz, the marshlands of Lake Kis-Balaton, the witness hills of the Balaton Highlands and the gentle slopes of Zala from the air! Balaton Ballooning Ltd. is the country's first professional and only international hot air ballooning company with more than 35 years of international experience in commercial ballooning. They have been present in Hungary for 17 years. They also have interests in Italian and Dubai balloon companies.

What does triple safety mean?

1.      We do not work with hobby pilots: their staff are professional, full-time commercial pilots with thousands of hours of flying experience each.

2.       We don't use second-hand equipment, but new, world-class equipment sourced directly from manufacturers. Their balloon basket is equipped with the latest and most modern passenger safety belts, unique in this country.

3.      With a high level of insurance with one of the largest German insurance companies in Europe specialising in aviation insurance.

Between 1 April and 31 October (depending on the weather), the hot air balloon will carry passengers daily, with departures from the Keszthely area. The basket of the balloon holds 18 people and the pilot. The sightseeing flights are usually organised in the evening, departing in the late afternoon and landing before sunset. 

On weekends, flights are also available in the morning on request. At the launch site, after a safety briefing in several languages, passengers can watch the balloon being inflated and after boarding, they fly for about 1 hour, climbing to an altitude of 1000-1500 m. The balloon's flight direction and visibility depend on weather conditions. After landing, the ground crew will serve chilled alcoholic and non-alcoholic champagne, mineral water and fruit juice for children. Passengers will receive a certificate with their name on it during a small ceremony, followed by payment on the spot: cash, credit card. The flight will be recorded in HD quality video, which can be purchased separately.

The 3-hour program includes local transfers (in Hévíz we will go to your home on request). For groups of 6 or more people, we provide free transfers from Badacsony and its surroundings!

Passengers NOT carried by balloon:

• Children under 6 years of age.
• Children 6-12 years old unaccompanied by an adult.
• Pregnant women from 4 months of pregnancy.
• People who have undergone major surgery within 6 months prior to the date of flight.
• People with severe spinal, musculoskeletal, circulatory or psychiatric disorders.
• People under the influence of a mind-altering drug.
