A preview of the 2024 event:
According to the organisers of FigFest, it's not a season, but seasons, and Lake Balaton offers year-round excitement that makes it worth a visit to the lake.

This autumn, for the first time, there's a special Figfest event on the shores of Lake Balaton, which, although it's hosted by the ubiquitous succulent fig, is actually about much more than that: Péter Vincze and his team want to showcase the cultural and gastronomic development of the region, and by opening up the invitation list to other Hungarian restaurants with similar values. It is almost unbelievable, but this will be the first gastronomic festival truly organised on the shores of Lake Balaton!

The two-day event will not only attract guests looking for quality catering, but also the industry, giving chefs and owners the opportunity for informal discussions and inspiration.

In addition to tastings, the focus will be on stage workshops, presentations and cooking shows, with figs as the main ingredient. And those who will be with us: leading and trend-setting catering establishments and wineries from Hungary and Lake Balaton will also be participating. Nothing can crown a perfect gastronomic experience better than live music - and of course the rippling waters of Lake Balaton by our side. A sip of wine, a delicious bite to eat, the sight of the sunset and the sounds of the concert - they come together to create an unforgettable moment.
