The Négy80 Winery in Badacsonyörs takes its name from the distance between the rows of vines. All of their wines come from their own vineyards, which they are personally and actively involved in cultivating.
The love of the land, nature, grapes and wine is not a new thing in the family, as viticulture has a centuries-old tradition. It is a family tradition to work with grapes and wine, since generations of ancestors have been cultivating them. In the past, the wine was not predominantly sold on the gastronomic line. The years have brought a significant change in the use of their vineyards, with the introduction of the brand name Négy80. The family now cultivates a total of 8 hectares of vineyards in different parts of the wine region. The vineyards, which are located in the south of the region, are mainly of white varieties. All their wines are matured spontaneously in acid-proof tanks. They are presented to the market after a minimum of six months of bottle ageing.
At their cellar, they are planning a joint tasting programme with several smaller wineries, involving winemakers from their family/ethnic group and the more limited wine producers from their vineyards. They are very proud of the exemplary condition of their vineyards, which is of particular importance because it is one of the most photogenic vineyards in Badacsony as a vineyard and tourist destination.
