We recommend the following fishing spots in the Badacsony Wine Region:

• Badacsonytomaj beach (from mid-September to mid-April)
• Badacsonytomaj beach from the middle of the summer to the middle of the winter
• Ábrahámhegy Beach (pre- and post-season)
• Badacsony harbour on the stone dam
• Badacsony pier, without disturbing the boat traffic.
• Révfülöp sports ground and the area around the pier, fishing is possible on the beaches in low and high season.
• Badacsonylábdihegyi Beach (1 October - 1 May)

RENT A PIER FOR ANGLERS

Anglers can rent a pier at the Badacsonytomaj Municipal Beach during the opening hours of the cashier's office. There are 3 piers on both sides of the beach, which can be rented separately. The rental period is min. 24 hours per pier. It is also possible to rent for several days at the following rates:

PRICES:

• For 1 day (from 9 a.m. to 9 a.m. the next day) 6,000 HUF/brick
• 2 days (from 9 a.m. to 9 a.m. the next day) 8,500 HUF/day
• for 3 days (from 9 a.m. to 9 a.m. the next day) 13,000 HUF/day
• 3 days and more (from 9 a.m. to 9 a.m. the next day) 4,000 HUF/day

For the key to the entrance gate a deposit of 2,000 HUF is required! Maximum 3 people can stay on the pier at the same time. The renter is obliged to keep the entrance gate locked at all times!

SHORE AND BOAT FISHING

Fishing is possible from the shore, from the piers and from a boat. The varied fish fauna includes carp, roach and bream (mainly bream), but there is also a large population of rock bream, eel, balin and sabre carp. On the shores of Lake Balaton, fishing is open to anyone who has a fishing licence, a state licence and a Balaton area licence, which is available in 24-hour, 72-hour, 10-day and annual versions. 

On Lake Balaton, it entitles you to fish from shore or from a vessel without a registration number (not for hauling in!) up to a distance of 1500 metres from the shore to the water.

• 24 hours for adults 3,300 Ft, for children 1 200 Ft
• 72 hours for adults 7,000 Ft, for children 2,500 Ft
• 10 days for adults 10,500 Ft, for children 3,500 Ft
• Annual  season ticket for adults 35 000 Ft, for children 11 000 Ft

General area ticket:

Entitles you to fish from a small boat or a higher category (with registration number) as defined in the Navigation Regulations, as well as to fish with a retrieving boat in the whole area of BALATON, in compliance with the regulations described in a separate annex.

• 72 hours for adults 12,000 Ft, children for 3,500 Ft 
• 10 days for aduilts 34,000 Ft, children for 8,000 Ft
